Makubs was born out of a quest to immortalise my Mum who is also known as “Makubura” (Mama Kubura).

About Oluwaseyi

Growing up as a girl child, I was fascinated with seeing how older women especially my Mum enhanced her beauty with the use of makeups. By my late teens, I was excited and started practising with my face and that of my sisters. This was in the late 90s and early 2000s

Fast forward to 2016, I decided to go for professional training and trained as a professional makeup artist with the prestigious The Beauty Academy in Reading, United Kingdom. The course further enhanced my skills in airbrush makeup application, smokey-eye makeup techniques, bridal makeup including vintage natural and glam brides, celebrity contouring etc.

I am a graduate of Chemical and Polymer Engineering, a certified NEBOSH General & Construction Health & Safety Expert (TechIOSH) with over a decade of experience in Customer Service and Revenue Assurance in the Transportation Industry. I am married with 2 kids.
